It’s all about the men. This is what I discovered when I met up with five yummy mummies and their beautiful babies. All the little boys had matching socks, which always impresses me as my little boy was hard pushed to look co-ordinated. Down to me, not him. The little girls looked delightful in their gorgeous dresses and headbands and I am glad that I had made an effort and had my new top on with my favourite pashmina.
Plenty of Labour talk. I already knew everyone’s stories, but so much nicer to talk face to face.Every birth had been different, but all the women felt proud and satisfied. Looking around, I saw a group of happy confident young mothers and I felt such pride in how far they had all journeyed.
Their partners had been beyond fabulous, and I loved seeing photographs of brand new fathers, and pictures of just born mothers. These are the photos that are worth all the tea in china. The men are my heroes. For being there. Really there. Totally there in the moment. Totally present. A lot of laughter with a wonderful opportunity to have a cuddle with each of the babies.Feeling how strong they all are, and also seeing how content and chilled out they are. Truly hypnobirthing babies.
Ultra calm and alert.
