Out of the mouths of babes.
I have a story. It is a true story, and was told to me last Sunday. It’s all about a little girl called Olivia, who was born over the pond using HypnoBirthing® techniques. Every year, in late April, Olivias’s mama calls her HypnoBirthing® Practitioner up. Actually, the day she ‘ phones is Olivia’s birth day.
This year, the HypnoBirthing® Practitioner had just moved to a new house. The house wasn’t finished, but the garden was taking priority. Flowers were needed. Lots of them. Olivia’s mama had a garden that was bursting at the seams with plants, and she invited her HypnoBirthing® Practitioner and friend to her house, so that she could have cuttings and divisions of her plants.
Olivia’s papa was a builder, and although there was still work to be done on their house, he had built a play house for Olivia in the garden. Olivia was playing in her little Wendy house. She was playing with her doll. When the HypnoBirthing® Practitioner/friend arrived in the garden, Olivia came out of her little house holding her doll in a receiving blanket, and she said,
” This morning I birthed my baby. It was so easy!”
And the name of the HypnoBirthing® Practitioner? Why it was Marie Mongan, or Mickey, as she is fondly known, the founder of HypnoBirthing®, and this was the story she told all the delagates at the HypnoBirthing® Conference at The Royal Society of Medicine. What a wonderful story!!
