Top Hat and Tails

‘Tis the wedding season and so far this year I have been fortunate to have been invited to 4 weddings. May was the month for a family wedding in Devon. Picture perfect, a real fairy tale occasion with a country church and bells ringing out. Gorgeous weather and a dream wedding dress, all lace and silk and bridesmaids resplendent in a soft meadow green. Confetti and back to the reception for a delightful evening of speeches, amazing food , dancing and games on the lawn. Superb.

Then a couple of weeks later, it was The Society Wedding. Again a traditional country church wedding and then back home for a grand reception with marquees on the lawn, speeches, dancing and a surprise firework display by the lake. Delightful.

July was the Greek Wedding. Near Athen in an outside venue. A Greek Orthodox service in the open air by the chapel, followed by sumptuous food and dancing. Greek dancing. So uplifting and totally enthralling. Sitting on the table with all the International Friends made for a memorable evening. So far, same dress, just a different pashmina. Oh and a clutch bag for the Greek wedding, as it was easier to pack.

A slight lull, then it’s time to pack the suitcase again, and soon I am off to Spain. This wedding is by the sea, just south of Barcelona. An International marriage. I will be staying with family on a private estate and there will be plenty of time for meeting new relations and catching up with familiar ones. My preparation? Well, I am currently partaking in an on line Spanish course, so I have the basic courtesies. Slow going, but am happy that I can have some small talk handy.

What I love about all these weddings is, not only being able to share the couples’s special day, but seeing all the love and support that surrounds these young adults , as they start their married lives together. The air is just full of happiness and tenderness. You want the world for them overflowing with happiness and contentment.

In between all these days of special celebrations, I continue to improve and tweak all the HypnoBirthing© sessions that I am running.Lots of help here from the visual aids I prepared from my days running the maternity antenatal classes. My hobbies? Why travel and laminating of course.

Next HypnoBirthing¬©sessions starting next week. Come and join us and see how perfectly designed your body is to have a baby. Can’t wait to meet you. Annie xx
